‘Rally for the Cure’ golf event to fight breast cancer set for Oct. 11 in RingoesAmbassador Nancy Brinker
(NJ) – A special golf event, known as “Rally for the Cure,” will be held on Oct. 11, at Copper Hill Country Club in Ringoes, to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen organization in the fight against breast cancer.
“Since 1996 Rally events have engaged more than 2.5 million people and raised more than $77 million through fundraising activities for Susan G. Komen,” said Nancy G. Brinker, founder and chair of Global Strategy Susan G. Komen.
“We are so grateful for Rally’s 20 years of support,” said Brinker. “This partnership with all the volunteers who have hosted events and the millions of people who have been Rally participants has been instrumental in our mission to end breast cancer forever.”
The women’s 9-hole scramble is open to the public and includes noon luncheon and a ‘shotgun’ start at one o’clock. The entry fee of $40 includes lunch, golf, and prizes. A golf cart is optional at $13 per person. For more information or to register, contact Anne Schafer at 908-806-7537.
Each participant will receive a ‘goody bag’ with important breast health information, a special 20th anniversary Rally pin and a subscription to a select Conde Nast magazine such as Self, Golf Digest, and Bon Appetit.
Copper Hill president James MacDonald said, “We are honored to host a Rally event for this special 20th anniversary milestone. It’s an important social event to bring our members and the community together to support a great cause while playing a sport they enjoy.”
