How To Succeed In Business With No Money In Your Pocket

My hope is that The Power of Broke inspires entrepreneurs from all walks of life to think creatively, alternatively and aggressively. Personally, I’ve been practicing the power of broke even before I started selling my home-sewn hats on the streets of Queens with no funding and a $40 budget. And even when FUBU became a globally recognized brand, our team continued to practice it. While competitors came into our space with flashy advertising campaigns and huge marketing budgets, we continued to outperform their sales due to our strong reliance on this principle. In fact, after looking back on some of my biggest mistakes, it was during those times that I thought throwing cash at the problem would solve it, and, man, was I wrong! It’s from these failures and working with so many rising entrepreneurs that forced me to relearn how to use the power of broke mindset across all of my businesses.

This video is the first in a series I’m doing with Forbes that sets the stage for how you can utilize this mindset to achieve long-lasting success. Throughout this series, I will be giving you exclusive access to some of my one-on-one interviews with the wildly successful entrepreneurs featured in The Power of Broke. It was important for me to showcase these interviews and make them a central part of my book.
