Right now, there is a pain deeply etched in the soul of our nation and in the hearts of millions. Pain that has oppressed the hearts, the minds, and the day-to-day living reality of far too many for far too long in our country. To stand together, we must stand up for one another, and recognize the fear, hurt, and outrage rightly provoked by these acts of inequity and injustice.
This pain is owned by all, but whose consequences disproportionately affect the lives of Black men and women in our communities. Now more than ever, we have seen how the country has failed Black communities. The pandemic has made it blaringly visible the deeply rooted racial disparities in both public health and the law. It is clear we are in a moment of crisis. This crisis did not start with the most recent lives tragically lost. It has lived in the fabric of our culture and structure of our communities since the dawn of our republic. The lives impacted are innumerable, the depth of its effects incalculable.
At the Worldwide Speakers Group, our mission has been and always will be to share the unique voices and experiences of diverse speakers who impact, inspire, and encourage audiences around the world with their message. We’ve always drawn strength from diversity and strived to create critical conversations in communities globally.
We stand alongside our Black partners, speakers, friends and communities —committing ourselves to take action to ensure equity for each and every person in our society. We pledge to do more, participate and be part of change, each of us individually, and collectively as a society and company.
